Embracing bravery is preferable to succumbing to fear, just as choosing happiness is better than dwelling in sadness. Opting for pleasure over pain can enhance our overall well-being. However, anxiety can often escalate into fear, while discontentment can lead to unhappiness. When we experience anxiety or discontent, we tend to fixate on future uncertainties, allowing our minds to wander. In such moments, it becomes imperative to take a deep breath.

Engaging in deep breathing exercises, such as taking ten deliberate breaths, can flood our bodies with oxygen, lower our heart rate, and provide respite from our thoughts. By doing so, we create a necessary pause. It is important to acknowledge and keep our anxieties and fears within our awareness, so that we do not recklessly disregard them and undermine our lives. Simultaneously, we must strike a balance with detachment.

This means flowing through life while being mindful of our breath, without allowing our anxieties to dictate our actions. Achieving this equilibrium requires practice. We cannot expect an instantaneous transformation of our minds or the ability to change all our habits and overcome negative memories overnight. Through consistent practice of deep breathing exercises, we gradually develop the skills to navigate these challenges.
